If you have time to visit our beautiful San Jose del Cabo downtown,  you will be mesmerized with the colors of the Mexican culture. It is everywhere. With its narrow streets radiating from the historic main plaza of San Jose del Cabo, you’ll find a thriving and sophisticated art and dining scene.

Thursday night is Art Walk from November to June. Studios and galleries around Alvaro Obregon stay open until 9PM. They encourage guests to browse and purchase by handing out free libations and snacks. Often there’s live music in the plaza and it’s not unusual for the streets to be full of locals, tourists and artists, all mingling and enjoying the energizing vibe. You’ll discover a high quality of paintings, sculpture, jewelry, intricate Huichol beadwork, amber and local handicrafts. Many of the galleries invite their artists to be on hand to meet potential buyers and discuss their work. 

The Art District is also home to some sophisticated dining establishments with extensive wine and tequila lists. For example, dine al fresco in the romantic courtyard at Tequila restaurant that lives up to its name with a lengthy list of the finer brands of Mexico’s national drink. If you are feeling adventurous, ask them for a tequila tasting; the bar features over 50 different varieties. The house specialty is jumbo shrimp smothered in (you guessed it) tequila, lime, butter and garlic.

Betty Rodriguez  is originally from Mexico City, her educational background is in Communications, then she was deeply attracted for the human body and started her career in the Health industry as a Certified Aerobics instructor, then she studied to be a Certified Aesthetician, and a Certified Massage Therapist, after working and living in the Cabo area, she moved to Colorado USA, where she had private tutorials in Advanced massage techniques at the Century 21 Institute, and later obtained a Pilates Trainer certification in Avon, Colorado, with Barbara Hutner, she also worked at local Chiropractic clinics and Spas  with a successful following clientele in the Roaring Fork Valley in Colorado for 6 years.

When returning to Mexico, she became the Lead massage therapist at a 5 star resort community, where she helped to develop a training system for customer service, follow up of procedures and development of new spa treatments under the guidance of an international Spa consultant. 

The hotel industry left her with the knowledge to work and develop her very own  brand  in 2010 ~Cabo Mobile Massage~ where she has a staff of highly trained and experienced Massage therapist and Aestheticians. The Cabo Mobile Massage team are equipt to offer an onsite, in villa,  massage service that can cater to groups or single sessions of varied massage techniques, manicure and pedicure.

Her skilled training includes Therapeutic massage ,Swedish massage, myofascial release, reflexology, aromatherapy, sports and trigger point therapy, deep tissue massage, customized skin care and maintenance treatments. She is currently deepening her energy studies in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy in Santa Monica, Ca. 

Recently she has been invited to be a team member for SATTEVA SPA and WELLNESS CONCEPTS as a Spa Consultant, Lead trainer and Sales representative for skin care in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico.

Betty's personal philosophy is "Everyday is a new opportunity for positive change and personal growth"  and this is the attitude and energy she brings to her staff and her clients.
